THE MISSION

THE MISSION

As human beings, we have long been aware of the value that human/animal relationships have on our well-being. A.W.A.R.E. Dogs seeks to build on this knowledge and take the human/animal relationship to a new level of practical assistance in Australia. A growing body of clinical evidence supports the validity of this endeavor.

The A.W.A.R.E. Dogs’ charter is to supply free of charge, to eligible applicants, a highly skilled qualified Assistance Dog (sometimes referred to as a Service Dog) which is trained specifically to meet the applicant’s needs. Our Assistance Dogs are available to clients regardless of age, gender, race or type of disability.

A.W.A.R.E. Dogs’ main focus is to make ground breaking changes for people living with mental health and other developmental issues. Towards this A.W.A.R.E. Dogs works in collaboration with organisations of all types to put our dynamic program for Assistance Dogs into place. One example of a key organization allied with A.W.A.R.E. Dogs is Enable Occupational Therapy in Mental Health Ltd Occupational Therapy in Mental Health Ltd.
