OUR GOALS

A.W.A.R.E. Dogs endeavors to train, manage, and co-ordinate human resources into various teams of sanctioned bodies. Each has a goal to supply and implement programs that develop the co-relationship existing between humans and animals towards mutual healthy benefits.

The enrichment of the social and psychological health and wellbeing of the individual, as well as the environmental factors connected with that situation, is paramount to our goals. We aim to provide anyone defined as disabled, or their carer, with access to a highly skilled Assistance Dog trained specifically to meet that client’s individual needs. Our goal is to specialize in addressing, through Assistance Dogs, the disabilities that impair psychological and social health, as well as developing dynamic interventions towards mitigating learning disorders.

We also aim to provide solutions for the problem of unwanted dogs who would otherwise be destroyed. We obtain the majority of our animals (which are screened for suitability) from shelters and rescue groups.

Another goal is to increase public awareness of the laws regarding Assistance Animals. We do this through seminars, advocacy, and lobbying.

We celebrate the enormous value Assistance Dogs provide their owners and the community.
